NFL Viewing Alert – Rivers is Playing
Drew Brees injured his thumb, and is not expected to return. Philip Rivers will finish the game for the Chargers, now showing on CBS.
I’m still rooting for my Broncos to pitch the shutout, though.

um, not to nitpick, but it was brees’ shoulder.
yeah, they intially said thumb on the broadcast. by halftime, they were saying shoulder.
Rivers certainly failed to distinguish himself as anything more than a backup. Too bad, but I think he was really rusty.
