Pirates: SI’s “Ugliest Uniforms”

Just because East Carolina has lost two in a row after their “big” wins over powerhouses Rice and SMU doesn’t mean that the Pirates have fallen out of the consciousness of the rest of the world.

I don’t care what Eric Hyman or the rest of the country thinks…the Pirates still demand attention out there!!!

Today they got some attention from Sports Illustrated as their uniforms were the first ones mentioned as the worst looking uniforms in the country.

The Worst-Looking Uniforms…

Look at them to closely and you’ll turn to stone. Here are the ones that have us frozen:

East Carolina. Purple presents a number fo problems for college football teams. One is the ever-present comparison to Barney. A mascot like the Pirates should inspire fear; a purple pirate does not.
