Congrats to TJ. Much deserved.03/11/2014 at 1:23 PM #45273
Wasn’t even close.03/11/2014 at 1:26 PM #45275
Thats a relief, as great as TJ is, I was positive Parker would get the Award.03/11/2014 at 1:30 PM #45277
Fantastic!03/11/2014 at 1:34 PM #45278

^ That should work, Shownuff.03/11/2014 at 1:49 PM #45279
Congratulations TJ! Your years of hard work paid off.03/11/2014 at 2:04 PM #45281
TJ is the POY by a country mile over Parker who was himself far better than Paige despite David Glenn’s best efforts to tell us idiots otherwise (today’s format is anything other than ACCPOY, btw).
TJ, you have been an absolute pleasure to watch! You are a SUPERSTAR! Congratulations young man!03/11/2014 at 2:05 PM #45282
FYI…I merged the two “TJ wins POY” threads into this one. (It looks like everything worked.)
Congrats to TJ.03/11/2014 at 2:08 PM #45283
Twitter has been down since this was posted.
TJ broke Twitter.03/11/2014 at 2:08 PM #45285
Dunno who this TJ is, but couldn’t be happier for Buckets. Huzzah!03/11/2014 at 2:16 PM #45287
I would like to know what freaking lunatic voted JAMIE DIXON for COY.03/11/2014 at 2:18 PM #45289
Well deserved! Great day to be a Wolfpacker!03/11/2014 at 2:24 PM #45292
Congratulations TJ Warren! If he can add the Everett Case Award this weekend I will be very pleased.03/11/2014 at 2:24 PM #45293
Congrats to TJ. He’s made every game this season worth watching, and the last couple weeks have been something really special. Couldn’t be happier for him. Now if we could just convince him to come back and defend it…
Of course the ESPN headline reads “Warren edges Parker for ACC Player of Year”, because nearly doubling the 2nd place guy’s votes is apparently a narrow margin.
Also, 4 people voted for Jabari Parker for DPoY, which is absurd.03/11/2014 at 2:37 PM #45297
Congrats. Well earned TJ!03/11/2014 at 2:37 PM #45298
Congratulations TJ. Although some on this board may disagree, for my money you are the best since DT. You would have had to have been around then to understand just how monumental that compliment is. Keep up the great work.03/11/2014 at 2:57 PM #45301
Dukeies say that Swoff would NOT allow a Duke Freshman to get the POY and the Frosh of the year award. Based on Wiki, there has NOT been a Frosh that has received the award.
Congrats to TJ (Buckets) Warren. We are proud of you as well as your dad.
GO STATE….now use this as a motivation to win the next three games and lets go dancing….03/11/2014 at 2:57 PM #45302
This great news. Well-deserved.
That said, the media giving props to Buckets combined with the recent success of FSU, the U, and UVa does tend to undermine the conspiracy theory arguments, doesn’t it?
Also undermines the Gottfied haters’ arguments. Gottfried had a big role to play in working TJW up into a POY. Gott was also the decisive factor in getting a team decimated by graduation and transfers to .500 in league play.
Folks, we have been our own worst enemies for a long time. Lotta bad hires over the years. But we have a good coach in a league with more parity than ever. I think we’re going in the right direction.03/11/2014 at 3:11 PM #45303
Or, you can look at it like we had the ACC POY, by a landslide, and only went .500. It cuts both ways.
Yes, all of it does undermine the “theories”.03/11/2014 at 3:13 PM #45304
Nice job. Now to tie Thompson’s record by getting POY three years in a row. Hey, an alumni/fan can dream, right?03/11/2014 at 3:24 PM #45305
Great for TJ, and very much deserved.03/11/2014 at 3:33 PM #45306
