POP!!!#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!Notre Dame’s defense is really good, and they came in with a great gameplan. They have effectively taken away both the running game (2.0 ypc) and our short passing game. Obviously the Hines injury is a factor, but their defense has played really well.
Meanwhile, their running game has dominated – 222 rushing yards and 2 TDs, averaging 6.9 ypc.
I was not expecting this, but our team looks outclassed.

Drink gets a d today. If not for Hines, I’d give him an f. Irish d was well prepared but we’ve done little to counter them. Inability to move ball has kep defense on the field too much

True, but we aren’t talking about that. We want to have at least a semblance of a fair field. But in any event, we have no offense today but they aren’t amazing or anything. Just wore down our d because we can’t keep our offense on the field.
ND has been the better team. Maybe that was preparation or possibly we are close but not there yet. The season is not over but the team does have to perform better in the next game.
Looks like a good beating up front by their O line.
Linebackers needed to fill holes and they were largely silent.
Excellent coaching by ND to teach using off hand by pass defenders.

#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!I say throw out everything that happened after the pick 6. We were going toe to toe in South Bend until the refs refused to call the offside and award us the free play. In all my years watching football I’ve never seen that before. That is a tall order to ask the kids to get back up after that certainly 7, possibly 14 point swing. I’m not even mad at ND trying to run up the score. They want to make the playoffs and a handy beatdown of a #14 opponent will look good on that resume.
