A new boss can definitely be an occupational hazard, as Herb is about to discover.

I called for his firing after year 5. I will not mention the name but if he were to ever show up in the ACC again I’ll be there to give him hell.

Leave Herbie alone! Bad mouthing a former coach, who (by the way was the best coach we had between JTV and GOTT) is just bad form.

Sooooo….if choosing amongst Les, Sid or HWSNBN….

Ah hell, I’d just open up my wrists and be done with it I think.

I think herb declares himself “out of play” for positions he was never actually considered for in order to boost his stock, if that’s possible. Any criticism he gets he brought on himself. Wake don’t want none of that.

I agree with Wilm80. Any talk of a coaching change is absurd. Gottfried has displayed that he understands completely how to get into the NCAA Tournament.
I think he has done an excellent job in understanding our rivalries & appreciating them but not getting so obsessed that it becomes an unwieldy burden. The recruiting has certainly improved with the only possible issue being how will it go when the top assistants eventually take other jobs.

I hear the radio talking heads talking like this season was a disappointment.
This past season exceeded expectations by anyone’s measure. We were supposed to finish 10th and instead finished high enough to avoid the Wednesday games in Greensboro.

Gott understands the territory he is in and I think he appreciates the pressure of expectations as that translates into more interest in basketball than any he hoped to have at Bama.

Its fun to talk of future coaches but not in the context of assuming there are serious problems with coach Gott.

^ I haven’t heard the local sports talk guys around Raleigh consider this year a disappointment. Maybe the national know-nothing pricks like Goodman but who gives a crap what he thinks. Granted, I rarely listen to Glenn but I listen to Adam and Joe about everyday on the way home and they were talking up the job Gott had done this year and one of his better years.
