“My Goodness! Such positive vibes from everyone so early in the morning! Since we all have so much control over what we perceive to be wrong with the team, just go back to thinking about how much of a raise the AD will give DAD.”

I’m positive it is his to deal with but I’m also positive the team is much improved. I can’t change things and wouldn’t know exactly what to change but I can see (as with any team) there are some strong points and some weaker ones.

Nothing wrong with vanilla as long as it gets the job done.

I’ll change my avatar to Dapper Dave if this is a 10 win year.

You ALL change yours to Todd Turner if this is less than 10 wins.

Often a critic of some of the amateurish ways of NCSU, I have a bit of a reveal. (Close your eyes Mac.)

I went AWOL in the days leading up to Louisville…No obligatory, game post; etc. I had a couple of close friends from my Ca. days that pulled into Cary on their 44th day of Ken Kesey type, trans-country tour. Now, this couple happen to really like sports, and they appreciate visiting venues, as such.

On the 47th day, I took them to tour what State had to offer, with my daughter joining us. I had been looking for a good reason to scope out the new Reynolds. Honestly, I hadn’t been there because I dreaded that despite reports, I would merely be underwhelmed. Let me say that my buddy Jimmy makes Mac look like Ghandi…get it?

So…We walk through the doors, and low and behold, I am initially impressed. Bright and shiney, bold yet understated, The Hall of Fame grabs ya first. Just beyond the hall, open doors display an even brighter, shinier, court. My friends are actually quite impressed.
We wandered, studied, and commented on all that was offered and gradually, the little devils of “it ain’t quite right” started whispering in my ear.

My daughter must have picked up on this as she had separated herself to a display labled “Hall of Champions.” She was messing around with this big screen and broke out this giggle. “You guys need to come over here,” she says. We did. She’d found her Pops big as can be, on the interactive display.

Hah. I knew State had to be capable of somthing first class.

We went to Doak and on to C-F, and the Murphy Center.(Pops is in there, too. Hee hee.) Also in there, this day, was our much maligned Comm Director, Annabelle Myers. No harm in trying, so I walked up, introduced myself…former player…guests in town…
“Would you deem it possible to escort us to concourse so that my friends might get the real feel of the stadium?”
She, of course, said she could not.

However, without batting an eye, she said, “Follow me.”
With that, she busted open the doors to the expansive and luxurious, weight room. I’d been inside it before, but forgot that the back wall was pretty much all glass, overlooking the stadium. Awrite Annabelle…Well done.

Bottom line here, is that in spite of years worth of seeing less than getting it right, I got flipped…For at least a day.

Ummm, is that anything like queen for a day? (for you younger folks that was a hokey TV game show WAAAAAY back when all TVs were B&W but I’m sure CD can remember it). Sorry CD somethings I just cannot resist. BTW, we’ve missed having you around.

    Nice story.

Too many bad miles on this car. Too many commercials on the dumbtron drowning out the band-too many officers in the parking lot one week then none the next-too many threats then no follow through followed by polices applied without notification-toomuch cheapness, too much non-sense and too much institutional staleness.

I wish them the best but the darn place has needed an enema for 30 years at just about every level from that a$$hole Phil Stiles to the freaks they hire at public safety.

Criticism is designed to denote displeasure and a need for improvement so accept my heartfelt signal that I just don’t trust them to do right by the students or the graduates.

I’m also sort of old school. I don’t have to be “entertained” every second. I do think there has been a history of knee jerk reactions to situations.

“Queen for a Day” That’s right up there with Art Linkletter in shows I watched with my mom as a midget, Yogi.

And Mac, I’ve had your cover from day one. Much truth.

    Mr. Dog…

You had a fine day with your daughter!!!!

    Bro Mc…

    You are who you are….

For all of us… “Our strengths are our weaknesses and it’s a fine line between the two on any given day….”

    ——————–
As for the question… “Who’s Boo Boo?”

Truth is…. at most of our ages… we’ve been both Yogi THE BEAR and Boo Boo, more than a few times….

At the end of day, however, at SFN…We’re all sidemen…
“this TEAM of motley fools is greater than any individual….”

and don’t we like to pass the ball around…..

    ——————–

I rather watch the SFN show than the Coaches Show anyday…

    “It lasts longer….”

McCallum, does a 10 win year include a bowl game and if so, what if it is played in 2018?

Will gladly put up a TT avatar, however, he may be kneeling in front of and looking up into Ol’ Roy’s purty eyes.

I echo CDs comments on Reynolds. Was there a few weeks ago and it far exceeded my expectations. Well done and classy!

10 wins during the 2017 season and that COULD include a bowl in COUGH/SNORT 2018 to satisfy that requirement.

    Sure, why not?

The only thing Amerika stands for is that it doesn’t stand for anything.

In fact I’m about to apply to Harvard. I’m applying as an 18 year old lesbian black female with the understanding that I am gender fluid, transracial and age fluid.

    How can I lose?
