-My phone’s been ringing. Every telemarketing outfit in North America has been calling.
Instead of getting annoyed I’ve started having fun with them. When they ask for me, I answer in my best old man voice, ‘Who is this anyhow?’ And it goes down hill from there. 😉
I have some vocal fold issues so when I get the usual “Mrs. Bruce” my answer is click. Same goes for political calls – click. People that know me are aware of my issue. I do give some leeway for real calls – but not a lot.
My calls usually end when they ask, “Is this Mr. Smith?”
