They did a good job shutting down Turner. Glad he made all of his FTs to help us win.

Fantastic play. Can’t say enough about that effort tonight. When we’re on, we are awfully good.

Nova was a 1 seed for a reason. Great game plan and great execution… We slipped a little bit in the last 3-4 possessions but its a rare that a team can execute to perfection.

Its clear gott loves this team and they love each other. Gott gets a ton of credit for putting together these pieces and recruiting these kids.

BTW – jay wright and nova’s players are as classy as you will find. Great comments by him and his team a after the game.

serving as a great decoy right now, that hits over 80% from the line.

    Great win.

Posted this in the game thread, but it merits repeating:

Jay Wright and the Nova players were incredibly classy after the game.

If Turner can ever get hot, look out!

Defense had nothing to do with Turner, he just had another one of his bad shooting performances, except at the FT line. But fortunately it was a team effort, and we are moving on. Go Pack! Maybe Turner will find his touch in the next game. Not bad for a team given no chance against Villanova. Go Pack!

Jay Wright really did go out of his way to say how great we played. We did our stuff better than they did theirs. That was a dominant performance down low. Not even close.

Abu and Freeman each with double-doubles … what an incredible performance. So many guys to hat tip to …

And Dez Lee – wow. Good for him!

Gottfried subtly stumping for the conference in the postgame presser …

Good, we must appease the Swofford

Mak4pak – totally disagree. Turner didn’t have any room. They were making sure he didn’t get the ball in his spots. Turner – to his credit – didn’t force it and kept on working hard on his cuts and on d.

Key point. He also had a great assist off of D switch … he kept his head in the game.
