While I keep my eye on the bowl projections from national media outlets, I rely more heavily on the insight and work of (the good) local media who not

Joe Giglio IS the good local media.

Notre Dame’s freefall probably means Pack and Holes out of the CLT running. I’m ok with whatever, as long as EZU is not involved.

As the Wolfpack fan who cheers every year that we squeak into a crappy bowl for us to end up in Shreveport, I am offended by the phrase, “avoid a trip to Shreveport.” Playing Meeeechigan in Detroit isn’t exactly a trip to Disney. I am intrigued by the possibility of receiving our bowl payout in Bitcoin.

State-Michigan is highly unlikely unless UM wins in Columbus, where they’re a 4-TD dog. Even if UM were to finish 6-6, they wouldn’t be an attractive bowl opponent this season, unless your team was a “Directional Michigan” team.

Shreveport may be safer than Detroit, but it’s every bit as ugly, and it won’t likely be warm down there.

And for all those who lusted for ND to be somehow part of ACC football, enjoy the Shreveport trip while the Irish go to Charlotte.

How can you not hate the Irish? Win or lose, they’ll be in a position to screw a more deserving ACC team.

    Thank you, John.

Yep, ND gets all the benefits of conference affiliation, with nothing given back.

Charlotte is DROOLING over getting the Irish. For the folks in Charlotte to get to have a Notre Dame – Auburn bowl (for example) is definitely appealing.

I fully expect Notre Dame to be a full member of the ACC in the next 5 years…so, this stuff doesn’t bother me too much yet. Especially this year since we generally such and wouldn’t really deserve that good of a destination, anyway.

Not that I care about such things, but Shreveport has several casinos.
