I know it’s been a bumpy ride this year, but considering we lost our 2nd best player seven minutes into the season, I think they have acquitted themselves pretty well. Cat is a lot of fun to watch.

Good win. Did not at all like the offense in the first but much better later. Cat is the difference maker. He can dominate games. We will of course need others to step up as we set to face stiffer competition.
I, too, have been known to get off to a slow start and still win….or at least survive.

However, in the first few minutes….and actually MOST of the first half, I wondered….
For y’all old enough to remember the Rowan and Martin show….and it was a laughable affair….our two players of the same surname….were a bit of a laughing stock. BUT, they came around.
I would also (I know folks were waiting for this one) note that Coach Gottfried was decked out casual in a RED vest….over his light blue (OK, maybe it was on the gray side of LIGHT BLUE) shirt. The smart money always bets on the shirt color and tonight, it was spot on until Cat’s 3 pointer.
Totally satisfied with the 2nd half performance. We need, as coach says, to get our game head on for the WHOLE game. Had this been a formidable opponent….and/or one with a larger crowd for motivation….the results might NOT have been as pleasing.
Cat is really benefitting from the “rules change” because almost nobody can stay in front of him without either fouling or giving him enough cushion to get off his shot. He is piling up opposition fouls and giving his offensively challenged team mates 4-5 more chances to score easy points every game. Whether it’s Fancy Feast or Little Friskies, we need to be sure we continue to feed The Cat.
