#202-26-2013, 04:04 PMWow, that article is so disjointed and written in stream-of-consciousness "gonzo" style I think the guy might still be on Dilaudid.

redcanine commented#2.102-26-2013, 06:10 PMEditing a commentNo kiddin'. 'The Sound and the Fury' was easier to follow. Strike that, nobody can follow Faulkner.
I abhor the stream-of consciousness narrative because it's so lazy. Hire an editor, cut the rubbish, and appreciate your reader's time. I don't mind being trapped in a character's mind as long as it helps to tell the story, but it rarely does. Gosh, I hate Faulker. Joyce made this boring style more entertaining, but I'm still not a fan.

#302-26-2013, 04:53 PMThat's just the hardly-tolerable Bill Simmons' self-indulgent Grantland for you.

#402-26-2013, 05:26 PMHoly Shit. Tompkins makes complete sense to me. Dig his style.
Go figure.
Betcha I could give him a run for his money, though.
I mean, without being self-indulgent and all.

From the article: Holy shit Dave. Cause a diversion! Grab the ball and run like hell!
Oh, if only. Talk about a moment that would have gone down in Wolfpack and ACC history.
