ESPN's college gameday is at NC State today/tomorrow. I don't typically watch this show, but I want to watch since they're in Raleigh for the game tomorrow... anyone know what time to tune in? Is it in the morning or right before the game or what?

#201-25-2013, 04:55 PMThey'll have live look-ins from SportsCenter on ESPN at 9am, then the full show starts at 10am on ESPNU and switches over to ESPN at 11. There's also a highlights show (from the GameDay location) at 6pm on ESPN leading into the game.Originally posted by TrollESPN's college gameday is at NC State today/tomorrow. #401-25-2013, 05:10 PMGuys, they are already there. They are filming parts of SportsCenter from PNC right now! Among others they have Jalen Rose.
For some reason I thought the game was at noon but apparently it's at 7pm.

#1501-26-2013, 09:17 AMReally great showing by the students and fan. Great!. Always see or learn something new. I had never, or at least can't remember, hearing the Jimmy V motivational speech where he talks about a "No Ball" Practice where they only have net cutting drills. That man was classic....or I should say IS and will ALWAYS BE a classic. Really great for us that went through the 1983 run and were, with family, at Reynolds when the team came home.
Other thing....remember when Ex Governor Purdue was heartily "booed" at a UNC game in the Dean Dome.....that, from what her advisors say privately, was her "defining moment". She realized that if she was unpopular in THAT environment, then her political career was toast in NC.
Today, ESPN did a piece on Reynolds and showed all the events that had been there. As a student in the late 60's I attended a lot of concerts there. Then they went on to show the political figures that had made speeches there. When a certain, CURRENT resident of 1600 PA Avenue's 2011(?) appearance was shown, the students reacted.....and it was heartening, at least for THIS individual, the tone and magnitude of their disllike and dissatisfaction. Just a comment...He IS the president and duly elected, but all of us, students as well, have the right to a political opinion and I was really proud of the RED crowd today. I did NOT say anything degrogatory about the President, only that I am not a fan of his....so do NOT trash me for bashing somebody that I did NOT bash.
The piece on Will Privette is really a GREAT PR piece....what positive publicity for State. Leslie is really portrayed well....

#2001-26-2013, 10:37 AMFollowed the fans & the environment at PNC via Twitter. It appears that the PNC Nazi's confiscated most of the signs at the doors when people were originally coming in. Then they came through and took signs from the crowd. It is INFURIATING how awful that is.

#2101-26-2013, 11:01 AMAt one point the Gameday crew mentioned that David Thompson was one of the best dunkers in college basketball history. While I appreciate the compliment, you would think those guys would have known, especially Digger, that dunking wasn't allowed when DT played at State.
It certainly was nice to see State get some more publicity on ESPN. I really think Gottfried's time working there has made a big difference in this, although having a good team helps too.
Pretty cool that Scotty McCreery, Coach Doeren and Logan Winkles teamed up to play Folsom Prison Blues

#2301-26-2013, 11:35 AMHi everyone! Can't wait to get my angry Walter Sobchek avatar back. Been sick as a f-king dog all week, looking forward to some serious devastation tonight.
I'm guessing Amy is out of Tussionex by now, too. Hopefully she actually got better, damn it. LMAO

#2401-26-2013, 11:43 AMCould you imagine TOB doing something like that with one of the players? This guy is going to have his players wanting to give more than he even will expect on the field. Count on it.

#2601-26-2013, 12:15 PMFirst post on new boards is a "Cool story, bro" moment for sure.
At lunch today my wife, my little man, and I were eating at a downtown restaurant. In walked Coach Early and Julius Randle and Randle's mother. Coach Farmer later joined them. I sent my 3 year old up to meet Julius and he said, "Hi, Mr. Randle, nice to meet you." in a way only a 3 year old can. They shook hands. As we approached Early simultaneously said, "This is Julius Randle!" but my son beat him to the punch. Early laughed and said to Julius, "Even the little dudes know you around here!" It was great. Julius was very gracious and kind. They seemed like great folks. We told him good luck with his recruitment, to have fun today, and if it all possible we'd love to see him playing for the Pack one day. My 3 year old left him with a Wuffie sign and a "Go Pack!"

#3001-26-2013, 03:00 PMI used to ponder whether or not it was a form of child abuse to raise my child (now about to turn 8 years old) to be a State fan. I wondered if I wanted to subject him to a life of pain, heartbreak and #ncstateshit. Of course, reason fell by the wayside and he has developed into quite the State fan, this despite the fact we moved from Raleigh to Boston almost 4 years ago.Originally posted by GAWolfFirst post on new boards is a "Cool story, bro" moment for sure.
