Only kidding. Thanks for the good work.

#201-25-2013, 11:22 PMJust as long as I don't feel like I'm walking through some Thai market when I come here, it can look any way it wants. Glad to have them back fer sher.

#301-26-2013, 06:36 AMThere are some things we can/will do with the color scheme and other touch ups. But, we wanted to get the forums up as soon as possible for everyone. Definitely take a look around and you will see a lot of neat functions that didn't exist in 1986 (or in our most recent forums). :-)

#401-26-2013, 07:48 AM1986. My roomate had an Apple II, which he would ocasionally let me use to type out a paper. The closest thing we had to a "forum" was a crowd sitting around a table at Mitch's or PR after a game.

#501-26-2013, 09:33 AMThe BBS community was reaching towards its peak in 1986. By then there were at least four major networks for the thousands of systems.

#601-26-2013, 10:11 AMI remember when the original version of Prodigy came out with their first msg boards and some of us used those to converse about the Pack. Back then you didn't have usernames, just your Prodigy account number, LOL. That was at least early to mid 90s IIRC. 'Bout the same time Mr.Statefans first gave us InfoPack for the first time I believe.
I'll stop now, because this post is beginning to sound way too much like "Back in my day....."

#701-26-2013, 10:43 AMMy use goes back a little further to a TRS-80, 300 baud modem and Compuserve at $8.00/per hour off peak. Peak was $50.00/hour as I remember.

#801-26-2013, 03:57 PMBack in my day, we would have had to send the IBM punch cards off and hope you didn't have an error before posting anything on the Forum.

#901-26-2013, 11:00 PMPersonal opinion, don't like the category view on forums home page. I would prefer to have all new threads showing together. Seems like that was the consensus last tine we had a forum change. Either way, thanks for getting the forums back up and running. Appreciate the hard work.

#1201-31-2013, 10:02 PMunfortunately...not that it matters...existing forum set up is practically unuseable from my samsung galxy s3. shame I loved browsing throughout the day and evening to see the newest posts.
no doubt a lot of effort went into this however I hope some changes are forth coming. I may be missing something but I am not getting what I used to get from this website....surely not getting what had me coming back here on a daily basis.
any advice on making this forum as user friendly as the previous version would be welcome.

Hrryhood commented#12.102-01-2013, 10:24 AMEditing a commentThis must be a Droid problem because I'm having the same issues. The forum page loads but then you cannot scroll down to see the threads. Is this being looked into?

#1302-01-2013, 10:18 AMAren't newest threads showing in chronological order now?Originally posted by NavPersonal opinion, don't like the category view on forums home page. I would prefer to have all new threads showing together. Seems like that was the consensus last tine we had a forum change. Either way, thanks for getting the forums back up and running. Appreciate the hard work.
Also, threads that have new postings should be highlighted by bold
Lastly, the "Latest Activity" button should also help show all of the latest activity in chronological order.

#1402-02-2013, 08:05 PMI am having trouble with Ipad functionality with the new forums. Would also rather see all the new posts up front instead of the categories. Would also like to be able to navigate to forum home page from the bottom. Just add a link there so we don't have to scroll all the way back up, if possible.

#1502-04-2013, 05:44 PMWulfpack, if you click on "old style forum" you get the new posts up front. So you should bookmark *that* page and go to it directly.

#1602-07-2013, 10:13 AMHow can you find old PM's? I had not deleted a few because they had email addresses in them that I had not moved to my contact list. I had some pictures that I had scanned to send to one of our posters that he'd requested...
RC51, if you're still there, send me another PM...I have those pics for you that you'd requested...
