Some of us with worn out knees behind the plate feel discriminated against...

We don't like being grouped with "NCAA tumbling" as another sport?

Martinis? No thank ya. If it's not in a mug/bottle/can or a shot glass I'll pass.

But alcohol does help the falling down. Graceful might take a powder, but at least it doesn't hurt as much.

Alcohol helps me fall faster than a Rodon slider... and no matter how much it doesn't hurt in the moment- the next day it's certainly felt...

On a baseball note- looks like Williams (Brett) is back... and Morgan is a nice fit.

You guys never took "gymnastics" at State, did you? I thought it was fun to do "kip ups". I'd break every bone in my back if I tried that now.

And have been know to fall off the side of a small mountain into a briar patch while taking a leak! Ouch!

Ha...he broke bad on it. It should have been routine.

Guy's a damn good ballplayer. I really hope his pins hold up and gets a fair shake come June.

Now 'Dog, I don't ever want to differ with you when it comes to the diamond, but looks to me like he got a pretty good read and good jump right on contact.

Maybe his defensive positioning could be called into question? But since I'm unfamiliar with the batter and his tendencies I'll give him the benefit on that one.

Man what a catch. Made PTI this afternoon and both Wilbon and Cornheiser were praising the catch as spectacular.

You put this kind of solid defense behind the solid pitching staff the W's should start piling up.

+1 for the baseball thread in the MAIN SFN menu..... but it should for baseball.... not just NC State baseball....

Baseball, among sports we watch, is and will always be in a 'league of it's own' .... a league of 'one'....

Baseball IS the sports metaphor for American life....

.... note to mods... your traffic as measured by number of new posts and comments appears down significantly since the upgrade... and don't get me wrong... I like all the new features and the options therein....

I can't resist this....

Build it (the main menu baseball thread) and people will come....

Plus 2 for Bill for the vote...I do agree...as separate Baseball and not just NCSU..It's America's game! This weekend I'm hoping for a State sweep in Eastern SC and a Gamecock sweep in the "moving 3 game series with the Clempsonites. Maybe I'll get to see JackLegg complain about "warm bats" again...

Score from MB today? I went to see the Gamecocks shut out the Tiggers 8-0 in Ray Tanner Stadium...It looks really weird when the pitcher is about 5'6" and the catcher is 6'5". Looked like a munchkin walking beside Greiner.

Jack Legg did not complain about "bat warmers" though.
