Despite the disappointing basketball season this far, there are other sports at NC State with some promise to finish out the season. The NC State swimming and diving team continues to train for the upcoming ACC Championships and NCAA Championships and has done well this season and last year.

Last season, the men’s team took home the first ACC Championship in 25 years under the reign of head coach Braden Holloway. Holloway has done a great job turning the team around since he took the position in June 2011. The team has focused on a different, younger culture and environment, which has proven successful over the past three years.

A select group from the men’s team is┬áheading back into competition tomorrow through Sunday for the Arena Pro Series in Austin, Texas. This meet is to help prepare swimmers for the 2016 Olympic Trials and will give the team some insight as to where they are in the season and what they need to do moving forward.
