[Updated] Terry Henderson Gives New Meaning to ‘Shooting Guard’

According to Joe Giglio, NC State’s transfer guard Terry Henderson was arrested on “gun charges” last night. I use the term “gun charges” loosely because the reports are saying it was another BB Gun incident. I for one would like NC State to host a BB Gun buy-back program. Apparently it is an epidemic around campus.

Although as one of my cohorts pointed out: “BB guns are our program’s worst vice? For a guy not even playing this year? I’ll take it.”

** UPDATE **

NC State has released a statement http://www.wral.com/nc-state-guard-henderson-arrested-on-gun-charges/14332234/

Easy mistake to make – I’m sure carrying, concealing, and discharging guns of all kinds are legal anywhere and anytime in West Virginia.

My kids and I may, or may not, shoot a bb gun in the back yard. Is that seriously illegal?

Doesn’t he know that in order to keep this stuff out of the press you need to be in a rented car full of dope? Our staff just isn’t doing a good job of orienting new players into the NC State Way. Air pistol. No wonder we can’t recruit big time talent away from Roy.

I was like am I reading this correctly? A BB gun can’t be fired inside of city limits? Who knew that was a rule. Carrying a BB gun in your pocket is carrying a concealed weapon?

I love and respect police everywhere but it sounds like this one was looking for something to do.

He apparently shot at a person, which makes it a little different.

Pakfanistan that makes it alot different. Where do you shoot at people and not expect them to shoot back. Maybe that’s my days in Chicago talking but I guess I get it if you are shooting a pellet gun at a “friendly” who knows you and leaves you fairly confident his retaliation will also be enforced using pellets… maybe (skeptically)… but if you shoot (non paintballs) at a random person that’s careless on so many levels.

A car is a pretty large target. Don’t shoot towards it, unless that’s what you’re aiming at. Now they’re gonna throw the book at him. Wake County DAs.

Have you ever been hit by a paintball? I dare say that it hurts worse than a pellet. And either one can shoot your eye out. [shout out to A Christmas Story]
