Pack vs Owls Supers Gm 1 – Gameday Thread

blockSbaseball

After a tad of moisture kept the Wolfpack and the Rice Owls from getting going yesterday as scheduled, the Raleigh Super Regional gets underway today at 4pm with game one of the series.

Today will still be Rodon vs Kubitza as far as anyone knows at this time.

Game will be aired on ESPN2 and ESPN3.

Other games going on…

North vs South in Chapel Hill…currently knotted at 5 in the 9th inning.  A couple of random comments from a good friend who, when I came in from playing outside this morning and said it looks like I had missed a pretty good game so far, had these replies loaded up and ready….

Actually rife with really bad baseball. These kids don’t know the fundamentals for shit. Bad baserunning, throwing to the wrong base, bad bunts, chasing sinking liners, first pitch swinging on breaking balls…it’s a laundry list.

Can anyone guess who authored those words? 😀

FSU vs Indiana in Tallahassee…’Noles currently trail the Hoosiers 9-6 in the 7th.

UVa vs Miss St in Charlottesville…Bulldogs putting it to the ‘Hoos thus far, 8-4 in the 5th.

Vandy vs ‘Ville in Nashville…just underway, scoreless, Vandy threatening bottom 1st.

Coming up later…

LSU vs Oklahoma, 7pm

Oregon St. vs K State, 7pm

Fullerton vs UCLA, 10pm

Use this thread to talk about not only the Pack’s game at 4pm, but all of the other NCAA Super Regional action going on.

Go Pack!!! This IS Next Year!!!

At least Summerall could still call a game after imbibing.

    Wufpacker,

For the record, that was not Trea Turner coming all the way across the infield to grab that popup and end the Top 9 rally. That was Kelly Leak.

Not only did Fincher get the walk of hit but he cut off a double that should have plated 2 instead of 1.
Both his Pete Rose slide in the second and Brett’s amazing headfirst in the ninth are at the core of what’s amazing about this team. They just love coming out and giving 100%.

After so many years in he Wolfpack Club, and numerous fb games, bb games, finally started going to baseball games. I have loved it, as we have won every game I have been to, and Rodon was always pitching when I went. So I am a little leery about Sunday, without Rodon pitching. But it is truly possible. So I will be back for round 2, and hopefully we finish the Owls off. But the guys have got to start hitting the ball, as our hitting was bad in comparison with Rice. But we still won. Just don’t think that will happen too often. Let those bats wake up tomorrow. Go Pack! On a side note bleacher seats suck, unless you get there early. People don’t want to move over, and even had someone tell me someone was sitting in a vacant seat I saw. But watched the entire game and nobody ever sat there. What a jerk! And we are supposed to be pulling for the same team. I will get there early tomorrow. Would be super if I got to return the favor to this young man. And believe me, I would! Anyway congrats to the team. And strange how we and our enemies at the hole, both won in the bottom of the 9th.

I watched the Carolina game highlights. USC errors that were numerous, gave the holes the win..

Yep on the Gamecock errors. I get aggravated watching players drop flyballs when they shouldn’d. Psycho had time to get in front of the ball, then dropped it catching with one hand!

Folks give credit where credit is due. When I started watching game we were up 2-0…when I stopped it was 2-2…I checked in and it went from 2-2 to 3-2 quickly…. when I checked back we had tied then won. Clearly I am not to follow pitch by pitch.

Credit? It all goes here. Clearly it was all me and my double reverse magic mojo trickeration.

You’re all just a bunch of credit whores.

It’s a team thing. Everybody has to do the same things for Sunday’s game.

Sorry chop, you can’t watch. 🙂

Don’t claim credit for Wufpacker’s Mojo, now! He’s been my lucky charm every game!

Texpack, was checking for a night time activity with my wife and a female business associate this week in Seattle. The Astros are in town and Jordan Lyles is the scheduled starter against the Mariners on Wednesday night. That settles that night cause both like baseball! Her daughter played softball against Coker and matched up with the younger Miss Cowdog on a few occasions..

Stick – If you wear your Gamecock gear you may get a nod from Jordan. Enjoy Seattle.
