Pack picked #6 in USA Today Top 25 Coaches Poll

How many years did we have to listen to the basketball “experts” tell us we cannot compete with Duke and UNC?

Thank you to Debbie Yow who saw our potential and did something about it.

HMM, I wonder how many apologies we will see?

Hey guys, drop the “we haven’t won anything yet” talk.

    1. Recruiting is in progress, and we are winning
    2. Preseason picks are in progress, and we are winning

That’s all we CAN win right now – and we are doing it. You can’t ask any more, or complain about “not really having done anything yet.” There haven’t been any games!!!!!
And the best part of it is, Gott and the team seem to get the message that the hype is all just fun right now. Enjoy it!

I’m still sweating injuries. Who will it be this year?

    Good sign:
Howell and Leslie both said in ACC Media sessions that the predictions mean nothing because the team has to get it done on the floor. At least two guys seem to be receiving the coaches’ message.

It’s hard to compete in recruiting when the other guys are getting cash, jewelry, free trips, unsecured loans and don’t have to go to class. Granted while we now have a coaching staff with something to offer (a future) which is critical, I think having national attention on the illegal benefits that other nameless blue universities offer will do a lot to level the playing field in recruiting. Keep up the good work Dan Kane.

Poppa, it doesn’t have to be anybody. Good points otherwise. We’ll take the expectations!

“As much as I love the exposure, preseason accolades don’t mean anything.”

I understand the sentiment, and agree with what I think was your point, but this exposure does mean something.

    Brand and Recruiting.
