I received this email (quoted below) from the athletics department a little while ago, and wanted to share it here.
How cool is it that the current administration knows it’s fans so well such that they know we love us a good poll skewin’? Anyone think that the previous admin. would have ever lowered themselves to the lunatic fringe’s level and sent out a mailer on something like this? Yeah, me neither.

How much do you love the Wolfpack? Now is the time to show your school spirit by voting for Ms. Wuf to be the Capital One Mascot Of The Year. Voting starts at noon today and goes through the football season. Each week Ms. Wuf will face off against one of the other 15 finalists, with her first matchup against Wilma The Wildcat from Arizona. This is only the most recent example of a Chancellor and AD who are out in front and striving to stay in touch with alumni and fans. Wolfpack Unlimited has proven, IMHO, to be an excellent conduit between the typical fan of today and a department that is looking to re-establish itself both publicly and with it’s own people.
