Tyler Harris to transfer

Rising sophomore Tyler Harris has announced he plans to transfer…
wait…
I am sorry Tyler’s father has announced Tyler has plans to transfer.

I had hoped to see this kid develop into a solid if not memorable starter by his junior or senior year. Given the attrition we face next year (Howell and Leslie) he was all but guaranteed playing time so this decision came as a shock to me. That is until I read this article.

After reading the article “Tyler’s” decision becomes more explainable. It is a shame to see young men make hasty decisions based on lack of playing time and perceived slights. It is even worse to see an adult do it.

I wish Tyler the best in his future playing career, I think he would have had both a great college experience and basketball career at NC State. If there is any advice I would give him, it is to make the decision that is best for you, look at the whole picture and do not seek immediate gratification.

^^^My one point with Tyler always seemed to be attitude. As one who has studied body language and non-verbals, I was never impressed with his attitude. He always seemed to be sulking and unhappy. I know when I am sitting on the bench I am unhappy too (OK, cant really say from experience sitting on the bench รขโ‚ฌโ€œ kidding) but that attitude seemed prevalent to me.

    DING, DING!

Regarding the Damien Wilkins reference, I was pretty surprised when he made it to the NBA, and I am surprised that he is still there. I remember him having a lot of ability to get to the rim, but then often being unable to finish. I was sure that the NBA competition would swat his stuff away relentlessly. But I always pull for former wolfpackers. Good luck to Tyler.

Mike: I noticed the same, but was trying to take the high road. I anticipated Harris would transfer all along due to that reason alone. I felt Raymond would just because the talent level was too high for him.

For that reason, the transfer or Painter was the one that actually surprised me.

Are you saying Mike took the low road? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I always end up on the low road – getting walked on, stepped on, and generally trampled. No harm no foul standard for the course.
