Sunday Night Hoops

Sadly, the Holes have found their stride and will blow past Creighton. But we can still scout Kansas and Purdue for next Friday, and enjoy a few other nontraditional matchups – such as South Florida and Ohio vying for the right to square off against Carolina. Norfolk State is cooked, but perhaps Lehigh can squeeze by Xavier and keep a true underdog alive past the first weekend.

Sucks for Marshall. Feel bad for him. Don’t feel bad for Henson whatsoever.

But they could still easily make the Final 8 without him.

Marshall and his parents are meeting with a specialist tomorrow. He’s done for the tourney.
And who says we can’t beat Kansas or Purdue? No fan of our team – that’s for sure!
    GO PACK!

I take plenty of joy whenever UNC loses…I love it…closest thing to a State win…

But I take no joy in injury…or an injury to a kid in general…I dislike Marshall b/c he wears light blue…if he played for almost anyone else he’d be a kid I’d root for…but right now, I take no pleasure in their loss…

I never take joy in seeing a player hurt physically. When everybody came back this year for the Heels those tarheel fans were a bunch of smug bastards. They were preseason number 1 and I had to agree. However, remember that in any endeavor a little humility goes a long long way. A few of my friends that are unc fans said “Well, we will see, there is a lot of things have to go right to win the NCAA championship” instead “we are the greatest and no one can stop us”.

    The inside of The Keg.

Win there and then it will be the 2nd stall at Player’s Retreat.

Keep on winning and I’ll reconstruct the fake eyebrows the lady had at Old Time hotdog.

Stupid Xavier, going to ruin the fun.

  8. Wulfpack 03/18/2012 at 8:26 PM #

    Purdue on fire early!

Kansas looks flat, Purdue doesn’t. Hummell could be this year’s Gordon Hayworth.

    Xavier finished the half strong

    Go Boilers!!!

This tourney just really opened up. Outside of whoever has to play Kentucky.

Clark Kellogg’s son just hit a huge three to put Ohio up 4 on South Florida.

    McCallum,

You are bringing back alot of memories. I remember the keg when it was penny draft day. You would drop a penny in a 10 gallong pickle jar with a shot glass at the bottom. If your penny went in the shot glass you drank free the rest of the semester.

Don’t forget Blimpies on the corner. Many a freshman in ’83-’84 learned to play quarters there.

    GO PACK!!!!!

Bobcats on fire. Would be fun to see them beat the Holes.

Purdue, Ohio, or NC State in the Final Four? Wow, could have made a fortune betting on that.

  19. PackAmy 03/18/2012 at 8:42 PM #

Both of these teams look really beatable right now – both of them are playing crazy.

  20. TheAliasTroll 03/18/2012 at 8:46 PM #

I’m going to guess Kansas settles down and runs Purdue out of the gym.

Any idea what time the games are Friday and with fingers crossed Sunday?

Ohio’s DJ Cooper with his own “shot of destiny.”

  23. vtpackfan 03/18/2012 at 8:46 PM #

CJW on Hummel looks probable. Box in one?

  24. GotNCState 03/18/2012 at 8:47 PM #

Mr. Raymond Natilli in on the action in Omaha (KU/Purdue).

Pakfanistan- YEP! Marshall has a fractured right wrist.

  25. Wulfpack 03/18/2012 at 8:50 PM #

I think UNC can get by Ohio even without Marshall. I seriously would not be surprised to see Barnes do a good amount of the ball handling.
