    @Texpack,
    I did the same thing.

Do you guys have this site hosted on a TI-83 or what? 😉

I’m trying to keep it all in perspective…And from my perspective, I’m danged happy with the results. Peaking at the right time. This time, I won’t have to stay up all night to watch the Pepperdine game and be absolutely worthless the next day!

Thanks to the Team, Gott, DY! You’ve made this a good weekend…

rock chalk or boiler maker, you better watch out. Exceeding all expectations.

So, in one year the Gottfather has as many Sweet 16s as all those Hall of Famers “the most destructive fanbase ever” ran off.

The Cardiac Pack is back. No doubt about it. I haven’t seen a Pack team keep their composure under this kind of adversity in a long, long time. And they won it with defense. Monumental win!!

They nearly killed me but am so happy for these guys and coaches. That’s a great video from wral with D. Yow hugging CJL. Just think how far this team has come. A couple months ago they would have folded under the pressure and lost but today they hung tough and fought and won.

STLPack here going to be cheering for the guys in STL! GO PACK! I’M SO HAPPY!

Wow!! I told you all last week that the sleeping giant was waking up and getting ready to walk. Sweet 16 in Gott’s first year with someone else’s players. Way to go Pack. On to St. Louis.

I still have a little trouble believing that it really happened. What a clutch effort all around. 80 minutes of complete, team basketball.

If we can collect anything in a bottle, it should be this uiversally fun atmosphere we’re seeing right this second.. These people love each other and I love watching them fight for that.

Stick, I remember that Pepperdine game like it was last night. FOUR hours and it started at 11:30. That game (plus Valvano’s use of fouling to put bad shooters on the line with a one and one) was the basis of the rule change with the double bonus at 10 team fouls. It’s a good thing that game was a Friday night game. Real work the next morning would have killed me.

anyone see the video on wral with debbie yow and calvin hugging afterwards, it was pretty cool….also read on twitter that the two of them have lunch together quite often which makes me laugh to think about

Sitting on back deck smoking a cigar drinking a cold one getting ready to grill some steaks. What a weekend.

Texpack, My dad was also an NCSU Grad. Took me to the Reynolds celebration in ’83; was there when I graduated from NCSU in ’90. Told me the story of going to see the ’74 team at the Albert Pick hotel in Greensboro after the first national championship (when I was just 4 years old). He is no longer with us, but I think of him at times like these and the special connection we had through our love of Wolfpack basketball. You gotta cherish these moments. I hope Gott brings us a lot more of them.

Creighton has even shown some signs of life…

Today I think is “the” day that the long, dark era that was the V Scandal and its aftermath is finally over.

It’s been 20 years in the darkness and even though we’ve been in the Sweet Sixteen once before, and to the NCAA five other times, this time things are fundamentally sound in the coaching staff, the players, and even the fanbase.

One Pack, working hard, united. Ya have to love it. We’ve all dreamed of this day and even brighter ones are coming, sooner or later, they’re coming.

I was so happy to see the Wolfpack make a 15-2 run to end the half against the Princeton offense instead of the other way around.

Heart attack? Naaaaa my coronaries just got an extra workout
Could not sit for the last half. My daughter thinks the wolfpack will be number 1.
    Maybe just maybe.

It did have the feel of a collective exorcism, didn’t it?

  22. JeremyH 03/18/2012 at 6:19 PM #

See, there was no reason to accept that other schools and commentators and the like said, that mediocre was the best we could do. Go Creighton and Purdue!

  23. Avid109 03/18/2012 at 6:21 PM #

Outstanding all-around effort by our guys!

Too much for the Statefansnation servers?

  24. BJD95 03/18/2012 at 6:21 PM #

The only downside is getting the execrable Nantz and Kellogg announcing our game on Friday. And they will talk nonstop about Carolina.

DE JA VU all over again! It’s 1983, isn’t it!!

    GO PACK!
