Depth Chart for Central Michigan – Sweezy returns

Link

At least J.R. Sweezy returns.

Nice to see Darryl Cato-Bishop’s name.

Curtis Underwood returns in a back up role.

Taylor Gentry‘s injury wasn’t too bad and he returns (listed as starting fullback)

And, evidently Wil Baumann‘s hamstring wasn’t too bad.

Oh wait. A band geek. I’m starting to understand. That just registered. Apologies for not seeing that sooner. Were you a beater or a blower, Adventuroo?

  2. Old MacDonald 10/05/2011 at 11:38 AM #

I wish GAWolf would stop being so equivocal on the topic of Kennelluroo.

    Adventuroo,

I’m not throwing stones or trying to pick a fight as we all pull for the pack, but weren’t you the one during the bball coach search that at least on one occasion claimed to have some exceptional inside info on an a high profile coach that you refused to provide saying that some over the top decision was short coming, only to see your revelation fail in as much as the ultimate decision was a relative no name in MG and at least two weeks after your prognostication? Does anyone else remember this?

That’s our boy! Apparently the Power Sound of the South isn’t so tight with the Powers That Be.

General Note for ADVERTUROO, et al…

GAWolf is so much kinder than I am. I read the crap you have been spewing and wonder why he hasn’t already done any editing to some of the pure mud-throwing you’ve been doing here. Honestly, the fact that this isn’t PackPride or any other number of web communities that would just ban your ass is proof of the open-nature of this site. See, as an author, we have this cool little thing where we can look at all the comments from an individual and you know what I noticed about your posts?
    1) YOU RUN YOUR —-ING MOUTH MORE THAN I DO!!! Good grief, son! Learn to SHUT THE HELL UP from time to time.
    2) You constantly, and outwardly, mock other posters who don’t see things eye-to-eye with you, particularly those who have negative things to say. So we just have our 5th game of the season (3rd straight D1A loss) and you think it’s somehow unreasonable for people to be upset with a 5th year coach? No one is asking you to agree with that stance on the TOB issue… but you have to laugh at the rest of the community? What the Hell gives you the right to say “You are guys are STUPID for thinking negative thoughts!”. Hell, I remember during the Lowe era when I was being cheery and optimistic about Lowe’s chances even going into year 5. When Lowe managed to beat Duke in year 4, I didn’t go around laughing and pointing fingers at everyone who thought negatively; I joined everyone in saying “wow, good for us… sure hope I’m right again because that means we’re winning.” When times were bad I said “wow, this sucks… sure hope I’m right about the bright future, but you negative guys are right… the present looks grim.” Why not spend a little more time reading what people say and interacting with them and less time being a dick.
    3) What the —- does hillbillies on motorcycles or ‘idiots outside of Wall Street’ have to do with NC State? Nothing? Then why did you devote what is equivalent to an entire post for most registered users to making fun of people you were arguing with by bringing these completely irrelevant things up?

Adventuroo, I don’t know if someone just didn’t hang you up by your overalls enough when you were in marching band or maybe someone just hit you too hard when you were playing football in high school (I still think it’s hilarious you even mentioned those things as some sort of proof-of-authority on the subject of fan-support), but you are a complete and total idiot. You aren’t an idiot because you’re optimistic and you aren’t an idiot because we don’t agree with you, you’re an idiot because you act and talk to people like one. Grow the Hell up. Please.

If 80% of TOB’s seasons at State are failures, and only 40% on the posts on him are negative, doesn’t that mean they are skewed to being too optimistic?

  7. nuclearwolf07 10/05/2011 at 1:54 PM #

Come on guys, let’s lay off the marching band. They have to suffer the same crappy play of football we do. They just don’t have the same option to leave at halftime, and they get graded on it. Don’t let one bad apple spoil the bunch.

Hey nuclearwolf07 and many others…..NO DOUBT RW is not our biggest problem!!!! The whole situation (in which I understood T.O.B.’s original stance) illustrates T.O.B.’s appeared arrogance in how he is running the team. We are boring, have been boring, uniforms…boring, coach displays no enthusiasm and if you don’t think all that carries over to the entire team/recruits well you are struggling with reality. And I will stay on the g** da** Russell Wilson train!!! It’s an embarrassment to me every Saturday when I watch him do the things he’s doing….it’s just frustrating on top of our lack of defense (injuries I know) and overall state of the program. We have way to good of a fan base, the Wolfpack club is the second highest donating club in the ACC, our stadium and overall facilities are top notch and Carter Finley is sold out nearly every season. We all deserve better than what we’ve been given.

  9. nuclearwolf07 10/05/2011 at 5:55 PM #

I’ll agree that it’s frustrating, the whole lot of it. But we’ll have to agree to disagree on the RW issue. While an polarizing decision, it was the right one. Not arrogant, just a dose of reality.

“Please keep up the humor as it’s the first thing NC State-related that’s even sparked my inner-emotions in months”
Boy, does that say something about the state of our athletics programs…ugh!

Here’s hoping getting FB players back from injury actually makes a difference and that Coach Gott & Co. are better than expected. Otherwise, it’s gonna be a looooooonnnnnnggg year.

From somewhere above, the WTF games are SOP as we are now in year 5. Like many, I’d like to think we can right the ship. I’ve seen nothing that leads me to think that will happen.

We play predictable and soft. We’re slow. We have a porous defense. And then there are the injuries.

I can’t believe it’s just fate that injuries have played such a huge part in our seasons year after year. I question the training, from conditioning to whatever might be going on in practice, to lose so many key players year after year. And then to have to fall back on walk ons for able bodies. Who the hell are we wasting scolarships on?

And oh, by the way, are we really celebrating Bowl Heritage this weekend? Are we really going to insult some of our decent heritage and former players, in front of this crowd of losers, and against a crappy opponent to boot?

Is there confirmation that Taylor Gentry has two broken bones in his foot after the GT game?
