Mountaineers with an 8 point halftime lead in a rematch from last year’s Elite 8. Joe Mazzulla is having a great game, nice to have a 5th year senior running the point.

Kenny “Win Win” Smiff and Sir Charles might be good NBA analysts, I wouldn’t know because I quit watching the NBA, but I’m not a fan of them working college games. Greg Anthony is usually solid, heard some of Steve Kerr last night and he was pretty good with Marv Albert.

Pitino on at halftime of of West Va-Kentucky.

It is nice that CBS could find someone who speaks in cohesive sentences and who actually has a clue what is happening in the Tournament.

CBS’ ‘talent’ and analysts have been AWFUL

The announcing teams have been fairly solid, save for the awful Nantz/Kellogg comco. Glad that Elmore/Johnson have been promoted to the #2 team, can’t imagine a focus group showing that they aren’t much better than the #1 team.

First game has been very good – both teams playing well, and playing hard. Mazzulla has tons of heart.

In general, I find studio analysts boring as hell, so I have no real opinion re Smith and Barkley. I ten to just play poker on my blackberry at halftime.

I hate these Buffalo Wild Wings and State Farm commercials so much. I do get a kick of the “I am epic win” Russian dude, though.

Ha ha, I get it. Black dudes don’t know who Larry Bird is!!! So clever, McDonald’s corporation.

Harrelson’s dad and his “camo” UK hunting baseball cap is getting more air time than Huggins. Reminds me of Eric Williams’ mom — stupid hat draws repeated undeserved camera attention.

I was just going to make a similar point. Yeah, the dad of the player from rural Missouri kinda looks like a goober. Big shock. Move the fuck on, already.

Someone needs to hop on over to the “coaching candidates in the NCAA tournament” thread on our message boards and figure out who “Strutter” is talking about.

Now the cameraman has switched to Calipari’s wife.

Where was the Georgetown team from the last 5 games when State played them back in the beginning of the year? I know Chris Wright probably wasn’t 100% last night, but VCU took it to them. Jay Bilas should admit that he was wrong for thinking the Rams shouldn’t be in the field. He won’t, but he should.

I am trying to figure out whether Florida or UCLA has the better-looking cheerleaders. There also appears to be a basketball game going on.

  12. one00_proof 03/19/2011 at 3:26 PM #

UCLA’s got the edge. Those tight little outfits highlight the curvatures in the best possible way… a very clean/sexy look

  13. BJD95 03/19/2011 at 3:28 PM #

But it’s LA – the merchadise probably isn’t real. I still like KY’s cheer talent best. Consistent excellence!

The McDonald’s commercial is funny because its a take off of a commercial that Bird and Jordan made for McDonald’s about 20-25 years ago. Nothin but net….

Consistent Excellence = Ole Miss cheerleaders. 🙂

  16. Old MacDonald 03/19/2011 at 3:57 PM #

Back in the late 80s-early 90s I remember the UNLV cheerleaders being ridiculously hot. I was like they hired showgirls.

  17. Lunatic Fringe 03/19/2011 at 4:02 PM #

I remember when we played Ole Miss in a NIT game several years ago. I don’t remember much about that game (I think we won), but I do remember the cheerleaders. Wow!

One of the few good memories from the U-know-who era. 🙂

The Richmond Spider mascot is some Grade A nightmare fuel. No wonder Morehead State can’t but a basket staring into that.

Leslie Visser looked like she had a rough night.

  20. BJD95 03/19/2011 at 6:25 PM #

San Diego State just might be legit. Their athleticism is off the charts.

  21. Old MacDonald 03/19/2011 at 6:43 PM #

Leslie Visser reminds me of the first Batman — when everyone stops using make-up and hair products because the Joker poisened them. She looks like one of TV anchors in Gotham during that period.

Brad Stevens is quickly turning Butler into a Gonzaga on Steroids

  23. Wolfy__79 03/20/2011 at 2:48 PM #

i would add on steroids + flashes of duke!

^^^i’ve enjoyed the cbs “talent” for their efforts in calling out the faults/mistakes from the officials! they’ve hacked up a few games this tournament.. one in particular was just played..unc vs the huskies. unc had what all of 2 fouls in the first half?? cmon man.. then to finish the game with an game clock error and a goal tending both in unc’s favor. had a unc buddy say that the first half calls were in the huskies favor?? respone, are you kidding me.. you’re just spoiled by acc officials giving all the calls to duke and unc!
