Philip Rivers & Adrian Wilson make NFL Pro Bowl

Congratulations to NC State’s Philip Rivers and Adrian Wilson for making the NFL’s 2011 Pro Bowl! I’m certain Mario Williams would have joined the NC State alums on the All-Star rosters if not for season-long nagging injuries that ultimately shelved his season.

The selection must be particularly satisfying for Rivers who has been robbed by politics and reputation for a slot on the roster in each of the last two seasons.

Additionally, you can click here for some great work by BC Interruption that details the college and conference affiliation of every Pro Bowler.

The ACC placed an astounding 18 players on the roster! By comparison, the Big Ten had nine players, the Big Twelve had seven players and the SEC had only 12.

To be fair, Miami had the most players from any one team, but weren’t most of those guys there before they joined the ACC?
