    Wow! Impressive.

Alot of people were depressed because Favors didn’t get up and shake his booty during the practice but you can tell the guy is just low key, in that interview he looked like he had/was having a lot of fun. He also looks like he’s seriously considering us, in addition to seriously thinking about where he wants to play. Wall also has some very interesting things to say. I remember back being 17-18 yrs old, and this is alot alot of pressure. Both of these guys look like they handle it with aplomb, not only would we be honored to have them play for us, but just the kind of young men they are, it’d be an honor if they came to NCSU. Also kudos to the interviewer, he did a great job, great questions, and he did his homework on these kids.

I also find it odd that it’s taken some of the local newspapers and tv stations so long to really take advantage of the internets. As much as i like to bust on the N&O, i was able to keep up with NCState way back in 94/95 when there were only a couple thousand websites in the entire world, but they had a website, it was called nando.net. WRAL has done a really good job of augmenting their TV production with alot of web production and video and i havent’ seen that from many other places. Some of you guys/girls who live around the country what are your experiences with local news orgs ability to really put out a good internets product

Tim “UNC” Stevens finally got around to dusting off his voice-recorder and dotting the “i”‘s on his stenographer pad to do a writeup about Wall visting with a subtitle about Favors also visiting. 3 days later. Could it be that SFN and its bloggers bringing it to the attention of the ACC world is what got the ball rolling? I made a sarcastic comment in the Duke-beat writer’s blog that State fans would pass around a hat if she would come and cover NCSU basketball until the N&O decides to assign someone to it. Anywho, Stevens was at the game, nice interview (that may have never seen the light of day)

Ismael, WRAL has outsourced their web production to a company called IBS, which does a lot of television station sites. IMO, their site is no better than most others. They have started a local effort called “GOLO” — Go Local — but as a rule, the posts there make IC or PP’s free boards look like Einsteins.

Anyway, it’s been a long time since nando.net.

I thought the guy giving this interview gave a lot of leading questions that were definitely PRO NC State. For all of you who assume the worst from the local media, you might want to watch this video again. It sounds like to me he held our fans up more than our school SID ever has. Great interview.

nando.net was news and observer i thought. Young Daniels was in charge of it as I recall.

Not bad. That both Favors & Wall were both there at simultaneously is a good sign. I read that Wall’s mom may have some health issues… one would think that could favor us.

yep, nando.net was News and Observer. N and O .net if you will.

The interview with Wall seemed to reveal a big interest with us but he didn’t miss a beat saying Memphis either. He had to think about the Kansas, Oregon & Baylor answers. Just going on the way he acted, it seemed Memphis was big on his mind but so was being at home. Let’s hope being at home wins out.

Favors seemed pretty steady with his answers with no real definite to what he wants. He was just having a good time it seemed. Careful not to give out too much info.

If we could be lucky enough to get just one of them it would be great.

Memphis is our only obvious threat in getting Wall. Memphis is also not too far from Raleigh. I think we CAN get him, but I wont hold my breath.

Favors seems like he is not wanting to make promises, but I have a good feeling about him.

It seems like J.J. Hickson coming to State may pay bigger dividends in the long run than it did while he was here. I think it’s pretty amazing that considering how awful this team played last year that a lot of guys are still looking at Sid Lowe’s program as an NBA stepping stool. But if that’s what it takes to start getting recruits to WANT to play at NC State, then I for one am willing to sit through a couple more “one-and-done”-ers.

they would both start and neither plays the position of Lorenzo Brown, another highly touted player already committing. what a class that would be. sure memphis will be good, but Wall probably knows how special nc state’s basketball tradition is and how obsessed we are about acc basketball, from growing up in raleigh. if wall commits, favors should follow, and that will be that.

JeremyH- you mean the Wall who has lived in Raleigh reading the Tarheel and Observer, and watching NCSU in a downward spiral since he could hold his head up!?

Memphis has more tradition in the past 18 years then we do. Its sad, but its true.

touché, but I bet kids like him are spending more time on the interwebs to get their news, including blogs like these. sure Memphis has had some recent success, but if he grew up around Raleigh, he knows what the media doesn’t say, that the UNC/ NC State rivalry is just as fierce as the UNC/ Duke rivalry, at least among the fan base.

I think Favors will commit first…either us or Ga. Tech is my guess. I think Wall may wait until Spring. He may want to see how both Javi and Farnold play, and what our “style” looks like. I think he’s leaning toward the Pack, and that is good. With Wall and Favors, we would have the #1 class, and a Fab Five type recruiting class. With just Wall, and another “big”, we would have a top 3 or 4 recruiting class.
