I had no idea that Dajuan put his name in the draft. He could have had a big senior season IMO. now im a little scared at who’s going to replace him. (Time for little bro Deandre to step it up I guess)

“I’d seen enough of Burke in the spring game and those 3 passes against Louisville or Clemson to realize that he had a better arm than Evans,”

Lord help the college QB who DOESNT have the arm strength of Daniel Evans.

Evans’ problem has never been his eyes or his head. He just can’t make the throws necessary to be a successful ACC caliber QB and you have to seriously wonder about a DC who doesn’t recognize that and adjust.

There was a piece in the paper yesterday about some local QBs in Raleigh who didn’t get scholarship offers despite their big numbers. I’ve never seen any of them play and I don’t have to. They just can’t make the throws necessary.

The same thing happens from college to pro football. People can talk about height and weight and footspeed all the want. If you can’t make that frozen-rope, deep-out throw in the NFL, you have no value.

A good football mind is a wonderful thing and Ryan Leaf proves that a big arm isn’t everything, but as you ascend a level in football, there’s a necessary skillset of both mind and body.
